Just a quick question, does anyone know how to check the actuations on the Nikon D300

Excellent! my D50 comes in at around 8500

Can anyone expand on how many actuations a D70 or D80 shutter are expected to achieve before failing?
I know it's not an exact science but I'd love to know how many is considered "old age" :)

Also, thanks for the software MK :)

If you have a Flickr account, just post an UNEDITED photo, straight from your Nikon camera (don’t know if it works with Canon, etc) to Flickr and enable exif data. The shutter actuations will show as “total number of shutter releases for camera.” This does not work with photos that have been edited via Adobe products.

The Shutter life for the D70 is about 50,000 cycles, I assume the D80 is better and the D90 is good for 100,000 cycles. About £200-250 to replace
