Hi All,

My other half kindly got me my very own website for christmas and I am just now trying to really get going with building it.

It is a moonfruit website so obviously I am limited by the options available on moonfruit and my own total lack of knowledge!

I am looking at the different options for adding photo's and I think the easiest option seems to be adding the html from my flikr. Is there any reason that this would be a stupid thing to do for single photo's?

I could upload all my photo's to the moonfruit file manager and use their pop up gallary thing but the "pop up" of the photo is not very large. I know I would have to upload to use the other widgits like the slideshow but I feel like adding the html code is quicker & easier for small galleries / single shots?

This will just be a hobby website so while I want it to be as good as possible it doesn't need to be uber proffesional - especially on my first attempt!

i would check the flickr terms of service, you may not be allowed to host your website images from there.

im not sure how moonfruit works but if its like any other webspace upload the photos to their server then use the img src html tags (see here - http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp)

Thanks Neil - I did look at the Flickr rules and as long as you link directly back to flickr it is fine.

I do have the option to upload my photo's to a "my files" section which I assume is hosted on their server. Just takes a while and seems like a bit of a faf if I can just link the ones I have already uploaded on Flickr. I also think I would need to resize my shots to be able to do this.
 
My site is with moonfruit, and although it is a bit of a faff uploading all the images, its got to be easier than copying and pasting loads of code and trying to get all the thumbnails lined up, if thats the way you were going to do it.

To do it, you'd need to copy the html code from the drop down menu on flickr next to the twitter icon and paste it in the moonfruit website, where you want it.

Thanks Tom - I get what you are saying but I'm not sure how much I like the moonfruit photo tools like the pop up gallery.

I understand how to add the html and it isn't taking me all that long to line up the images. I think I will end up using a mix of both - just wanted to check if it would cause any issues.
