If you're out in the field, how do you add images to your iPad?

I assume you use iPhoto but how do you actually get them from the camera/memory card onto the iPad.
 
Are you talking about taking them straight from the memory card onto the iPad? If so, there's a connection kit available at the Apple store.

If you just want to transfer photos you've got on your computer, you need to set up what to sync in iTunes.
 
Yes, Jim, I'm talking about being at an event (outdoors) and wanting to add images to an iPad to show to clients on the spot.

The camera connection kit is pretty widely available in PC World as well now. £25 with an SD card reader and USB connector. It will import all your pictures from the card and make them available for viewing. It's not perfect but it's pretty good.
 
When you say 'It's not perfect' can you expand upon that?
