Guys,

Any advice on how to adjust my monitor settings to rid my whites of a horrible yellow tinge ?

the R/G/B levels are all sat at 50 at the moment.

Mike.

Get a calibration device and calibrate your monitor is the best long term solution.

EyeOne and ColorMunki are two recommended variants.

Spyder 3's are also a decent piece of kit.

If the yellow tinge won't go away it might be knackered. Old LCD monitors (in my experience) tend to develop a yellow tinge as they grow older, or sometimes a purple tinge. CRTs tend to go the same way but mostly yellow-green.

Reg and green make yellow, so turn the red and green channel down or the blue up. As its likely a backlight issue you wont get it perfect simply by doing this (due to the other knock on effects), but you may get a satisfactory halfway house.

Could be a backlit issue or just the general decay of LCD monitors that causes them to do this.

Thanks Guys - dropped the contrast a tad which seemed to help, will try R & G as well. Monitor only 3 months old so not an age thing.
