I have been researching how to photograph a Fine Art print and one piece of info suggests using Adobe RGB and not sRGB.

What would this achieve?

aRGB has a wider gamut of colours the sRGB. But if your printers aren't expecting it you'll get a very flat print. As a general rule if you're not sure use sRGB

Nothing since a printer won't be able to handle the gamut

The problem is that most monitors can't display Argb, most home printers can't print it and most online printers request Srgb files. I can see why the top pros use it as it can "tweak" a little more colour from a photo but in most peoples normal workflow that just isn't possible.

My recommendation would be to stick firmly with Srgb and keep things simple:thumbs:

This thread got me thinking, so I emailed the online print company and canvas companies I use to see what they prefer.

The print company said sRGB however the canvas company said aRGB.

So I will be leaving my camera in sRGB so that I can ensure the best from both.
