Any advice on the best camera that I should buy to photograph clothing on Ebay would be very much appreciated.
The photos would be taken at my home which has an average amount of light. (not that I know what 'average' really is)
The photos would be either taken with garment laid on the hardwood floor and occasionally on a mannequin.
I have no skill at taking photos but I definitely intend to improve as I didn't realise just how bad I was until I actually began to look closely at my pictures.
I have been using a Casio Exilim 750 and want to go a step better.
Many thanks for any guidance I can be offered.:bonk:

I would suggest better light would be far more use than a better camera. I can't see that a new camera would help much. Perhaps invest in a light tent and either some flash guns or continuous lights. Stick the mannequin in the light tent for more professional looking results. I don't know the camera you have, but if it has a manual mode, set it to 1/200 and f/8 to start and use the onboard flash to trigger some optical slaves. It'll take a bit of trial and error to get the lighting just right. You'll need to adjust the power on the flash guns as needed.
