Advice needed on New Camera

Hi Guys

Looking for a bit of advice on a new Camera

I have been a user of the various Fuji Bridge cameras over the last few years with my current camera being the HS-20.

Its now time to look for a new Camera and I was thinking of going with the Fuji S-X1 which is about £450, it was a done deal until I went to Jessops and found that they are doing a two lens deal on the Canon 550D for the same money.

I know the Canon has a higher resolution and my gut is telling me to get the Canon but I have had a go of the Fuji and I really like it.

So what do you all reckon Fuji or Canon.

I should point out that the days of my serious photography are long past and I am looking for a camera that can take good quality holiday photos etc.

thanks

Paul

The canon hands down will be better, but if you like the Fuji's then get that. Whats wrong with the 50d? thats better than a bridge too.

Hi

The trouble with the 50D is that although I could get the body and standard zoom lens, I would not be able to get the longer zoom with the money I have to spend, which is £500 max. Also as the 50 was replaced by the 60D some tim ago, thee are not too many of them left in the shops, espeialy arround her where mot of the Camera Shops have also gone as well, all we have around here is Jessops.

Have you not already got a 50d? All you need to do then is buy a lens.

If you want one camera that will do it all and find a bridge camera to be of good enough quality IQ wise then that is all you need. The fact that you can get other cameras for the same money is always going to be the case and they all have their pros and cons.
