Advice needed - Pit bike portrait

My aunty wants me to get a picture of her grandson on his pit bike. It will be to go on his wall.

I am looking for some suggestions really as to what I might be able to do. I could go out and get some of him riding the bike but it will only be in a grass field and at this time of year everything is very grey. I could also do some kind of still portrait maybe with a backdrop but those two ideas are just about the limit of my thoughts at the moment.
 
Grass field, sunset backdrop, off camera flash.. the Strobist blog should give some inspiration. Or even take it out of the field for this, a posed shots on an incongruous location could work.

Sounds like fun, if you gave a location I'm sure you'd get a few volunteers looking for a project to help with at this time of year.
