Advice on Ball head?

Im about to get a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3.

*** head would you recommend for architecture and landscape photography?

At the moment im looking at the RC2 and RC4.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks
 
When you say RC2 and RC4, you realise that's the type of quick release plate rather than the ball head itself?

I paired my 055CX with the 494RC2 and have been very happy with it.
 
My preference would be for a pan and tilt type head for landscape / architecture photography - I have the 055XPROB and 804RC2 head and it does the job for me.

In the last few days I purchased a Giotto ball head and am still getting to grips with it but I still think that a P'n'T head is easier to use to get the required accuracy for architecture shots.
 
nope i have no idea that it was just the quick release. theres so many and they all seem to do the same thing. guess this is going to be shop visit!
 
Actually manfrotto's website (www.manfrotto.co.uk) is pretty good, it gives you a list of the different features for each head.

Of course if this is where you're already doing your research then ignore me.

You want a ball head? They're are very fast and versatile, but for architecture - if you don't might a bit more weight and £130-odd is within budget - look no further than the Manfrotto 410 geared head.
