Ok, so I got a Minolta AF camera (actually 2, why I will never know).

I got 2 lens : 28-80/f3.5-5.6 and 70-300 f4-5.6
The problem ( and I finished 2 rolls, yet to be developed) is that the 28-80 is very slow lens.

If I was using prime, I usually use 35, 50, 80 mm - so thats the focal lengths I am looking for - either prime or zoom.

So what are good lens - either prime or zoom AF - available at these focal lengths. Either Minolta or 3rd party

( I saw Zeiss lens is available, but at that price, I might as well buy a Contax NX or Nikon top end)

The Minolta 50mm f1.7 and f1.4 AF are supposed to be very good and go for quite reasonable prices. Its more than they used to go for though apparently, Sony Alpha users have discovered them and as so this has forced the price up.

Might possibly get one for that Minolta I just got off you at some point.

no other advice/ suggestions. I was reading up the net; and the kit lens I have, by all account are, at best, average performers.

What are the good ones at reasonable price?

Go with the 50mm, the 1.4 if you can find one it's the perfect place to start.
