Good afternoon, I am looking into a 7-300mm lens for a Canon 80D. I'm afraid the "L" series lens is above my pay grade. Does anyone use any of the following and have any thoughts or recommendations?

Tamron AF SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD
Canon EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 IS USM
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM

Many thanks in advance

I have a Tamron, and it is better than any Canon lens I tried. stabiliser is extremely good

What’s the budget and what type of photography are you intending to use the lens for?

Just general photography. I have a Canon 55-250mm IS STM at the moment but its not working correctly so, If I am going to change it I might as well go with a little bit longer reach.
Budget up to £300....ish

My wife has an 80D and uses the Canon 70-300mm USM II and 18-135 USM Nano

Focusing speed is quicker than my EF 100-400 L II and it seems sharp enough to me. I’ve be quite impressed with it to be honest.

Edit, looks like Canon have it on offer. Cheaper than Wex anyway…

Does the L series version fall into your price bracket second hand? On facebook market place they are around £500 which does make it all the more attractive.
