Hi All,

Need some advice,

i am taking my son to the Monster Jam event tomorrow in the millenium stadium, Cardiff and have promised him i'll get lots of pictures for him to put up on his bedroom walls. Never taken pictures of this type of thing before so some advice would be really wonderful. i will be sitting up in the the stands with my D200 and the Tamron 18 - 200 len

If it's a sunny day you should have enough light to use a fast shutter speed and freeze it mid jump (if they're doing that kind of thing?) which would be a cool photo. I think action shots will be the way to go, so stick it on motor drive and try and catch it as it crushes the car, jumps through the ring of fire or whatever other crazy stunts they try.
 
im going to this also will we be able to take in out digital SLR's

sorry to drag up an old topic, went last year but didnt take a digi cam as the tickets stated NO PHOTOGRAPHY allowed, alas i get there and everybody has digi cams on full view and nobody seemed to care, so if i take my camera this year will i be ok, as my ticket again states NO PHOTOGRAPHY.
