advice please on 450d grip not canon

i had a 450d with a third party grip (Meike), i had no issue's with it all. I now have a 60d with a canon grip, the noticeable thing to me is that the thumb wheels have a different feel, other than that not a great deal.

Have got a couple of 3rd party grips and a canon version. The really cheap imports from e-bay feel very cheap but have always functioned perfectly. If i remember correctly i got one for my 350d with 2 new batteries for about £40 delivered! I wasnt sure how much use it would so bought cheap ones, but to be honest i wouldnt want to live without them now!
 
I've got a 3rd party grip from ebay for my 550D and 7D and they work flawlessly. I think I paid under £40 for the 550D with 4 batteries, about £70 for the 7D with 4 batteries and as I've just ordered a 5D MkII, I've got a grip for that which was about £40 with 2 batteries. Cant beat that sort of value.
 
Ask them to make sure it displays battery level first. I got one from ebay which didn't then another from a different store did. (same canon genuine battery)
 
I bought one from here they are Meike brand and the build quality was excellent.

There are various packages available and this was the one I bought, grip, 2 batteries and a remote control for £35 inc.
It took just over a week to arrive.

I bought the Phottix 450d grip, it's a bit plasticy but functions perfectly and came with 2 batteries for £40! Bargain.
