Advice please on this marsh shot

I took this today with my D3100 AND 35mm 1.8 lens. Theres not much to look at but I spent alot of time in this creek once. Did I get it right or was there more I could have done. It was a dull day. I spend to much time doing macro, I need to try more styles. Thanks

As you say it was dull lighting conditions and I'm not sure what you could have done to improve it.

If it's a place you want to get a good picture of I'd suggest trying to get a good sunrise/sunset picture to try and get some more interesting lighting.

Thanks for your reply. It is a nice there and a good place to improve. I might head back for sunrise at the weekend.

just had a little play with level, hue etc and looks better - with a sun rise / set would be nice
