Advice request: Image storage

Good evening all!

Amongst the many hats I wear, one os that of a scout leader.

Our group this year turned 90 years old, we're in our second scout hall which has been our home since 1970.

During that time, we have amassed a fair archive of photographs, certificates, awards, some cine film & video and some audio recordings.

I have started the length task of scanning all the images, then I'll capture the moving images and audio.

We would like to have some sort of cloud hosting, so that it's accessible, secure and safe for the next generations of kids, leaders and trustees.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking Flickr or similar.
 
Flickr would be a reasonable option, though any documents would have to be saved as photos to upload to Flickr.
You can also limit access if you require.
 
Has Scout HQW got any thoughts on this, given the value and sensitivity of the archiver? Just thought they might .
 
Prepare for whatever choice you make to be not available in the future. Either have a regularly refreshed on-site back-up, or consider several online ones!

Aye, that's a worry. On site leaves a legacy issue for those leader who come after us. I take the point about multiple clouds.
