I have a Canon 50D which has AEB capability and I would like to try creating some HDR images. I have downloaded a piece of software called Photomatrix 4.0 Pro to do this, but when I transfer the images across from my camera which I think I have set AEB accordingly with 3 different exposure levels, it doesn't seem to recognise the images as being acceptable.

Can anyone help?

Many Thanks

Hi, I've never had any problems. What type of file are they, that is what extention do they have?

Do you get any error messages?

Cheers.

Hi Andrew

Ive never had a problem either, have you tried putting the shots on your hard drive and loading them through the Load Bracketed Photos button

Andrew when you say Photomatix does not recognise the images as being acceptable, what message do you get from Photomatix?

Dave

The only thing I can think of is the raw may not be compatable, have you tried converting them to tiff and see if that works.
Edit mine works fine with images from my friends 550d in raw.

Thanks for the replies, I now have it sussed and I have managed to create my first HDR image!

Quite embarrassing really, but I thought by setting the camera to 3 stage AEB that it would automatically take the 3 shots. I didn't think about setting continuous shooting, I had it set as single shot!

I'd prefer to put this down to being an absolute novice as opposed to being a complete retard.... That's my excuse anyway :)

Cheers for the help!

Nothing to post yet, I was just playing around in the house as the weather is ghastly today..... Unless you want to see a shot of my kitchen with a large pile of dishes that need drying :)
