AF 50mm 1.8d or AF-S 35mm 1.8G for D90?

Both these lenses will work, but which gives the better quality image please?

Actually, it doesn't really matter, the AF-S 35mm f/1.8 is by far the better option on the D90.

There is the new FX 35mm f/1.8G which I don't suppose you mean but from a cost and size basis you're better off with the DX version.
 
I have both, and an 85 1.8D.. Prefer the 50 1.8D to the 35 f1.8 DX. Love the 85 the most though. I mostly prefer portraiture or street to landscape though. The 501.8 D is awesome and is a bargain.
 
Both are more than adequate when it comes to image quality - pick based on preferred focal length.
 
I have the 50mm 1.8d and was so impressed with the sharpness I got the 35mm to give a little more angle. Both are fab little lenses! Get a near new one off eBay for £100 (35) or £70-80(50) you won't be disappointed.....espesh if you shoot in manual!
