af adjust by lens on 40d?

I just bought a sigma 30mm f1.4 which front focuses a little. Kris kindly suggested in camera adjustment to solve the problem which sounded great but I can't seem to find it on my 40d is this a 50d only function or is there some way to do it on my 40d?

For my 50D it's in the custom functions menu: C.FN III: Autofocus drive > 2. Adjust by lens. All you have to do is add an increment or two and test until your happy. Set it then once done the camera adjusts everytime automatically for that lens.

There's no point doing it for a zoom because you can't adjust for each length.

50d only not on the 40d I'm afraid.

Send it back to sigma along with your 40d and have them calibrate it.

Then adjust your 50d to suit.
