Critique Aged images

Would appreciate your feed back on these images

Definitely ages those, it looks like you've taken some time and these are pride of place.
I quite like the overly cropped aspect. One constructive comment is they appear to be aged, but seem to have a high detail and contrast, like a more modern image.

I've had my own go at aged photos so I can see the appeal.

Thinking about the sharpness and contrast, I don't know if they're necessarily too much so but if you do think that you want to tone them down a bit I suppose it would be possible.

Anyway, I found them interesting, thanks for posting

I think they are great images that you have clearly spent many hours perfecting. #1 is particularly good IMHO. I agree with others comments regarding sharpness and contrast, however, overall they work really well. Ironically I have spent far to much time going the other way trying restore old pictures !

Technically and skill wise very good. The style isn‘t for me unless its for some particular purpose.

My first question would be great shot why have you put that aged filter on it - why not have taken it with old equipment for something more period correct
