Airliner - cruising height.

Really quite impressed to be honest, taken from Gummers How in the Lake District late this afternoon - yes I know, I missed the pigging Typhoon

Handheld using the 40D and 100-400L reckon it has potential if you can find a clear day and somewhere the planes are banking, I know they bank over Dunmail heading North West, so perhaps on a tripod with the x2 converter on a nice shot could be had ? I

It is a heavy crop by the way !

Oh, yeah, quality is pants, crop is massive and had nothing done to it, I was just quite impressed with the quality that I did get from a plane travelling at 35000 feet above my head, lol !
I reckon on a clear day well set up with my x2 on the 100-400 and tripod a pleasing shot could be had. I reckon you will always stuggle with something so far away due to atmospheric conditions, haze etc
