Hi All,

Got my hands on an old Akai DVD player DV-P2500. Noticed that it has no scart socket at it's back but has a S-Video and Component Video connectors as show below.

Can I connect this DVD player to my TV [TV has a Scart socket] using a S-Video to Scart cable? Will I need an extra cable for Audio? :thinking:

Any help is very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers :thumbs:

S-video only carries video, no sound, but I think you can get scart to s-video + left and right phono, which I am guessing the DVD player will have? pic is a bit too small to tell.

Thanks. Bigger Pic attached. ;)

Make sure the cable will carry the signal the right way.
You require phono/rca to scart.
I have one that only works one way, scart to phono/rca.

Damn :bang::bang:

Only if I can get my hands on a user manual :help:

How about one of these? Plug into scart on TV then connect DVD to TV with S-video to S-Video. Mine came with my Nintendo Wii.
