Akai DVD Player Connection Query

Hi All,

Got my hands on an old Akai DVD player DV-P2500. Noticed that it has no scart socket at it's back but has a S-Video and Component Video connectors as show below.

Can I connect this DVD player to my TV [TV has a Scart socket] using a S-Video to Scart cable? Will I need an extra cable for Audio? :thinking:

Make sure the cable will carry the signal the right way.
You require phono/rca to scart.
I have one that only works one way, scart to phono/rca.

I've got one of those you can have for free if you PM me your address:) actually mine has the svideo socket as well as composite and sound
