I'm a moderately experienced enthusiast that will be going on a 14 day cruise to Alaska in mid August 2026. I've been to Alaska years ago, but only had point & shoot cameras at the time. Now I have better "tools". I'm old and not real mobile so a relatively simple, light kit would probably be best.
Here's my thinking:
For from-the-ship photos and the out-of-towns excursions where nature will be the subject. I can leave lenses on the ship each day that I don't think I'll need.
Sony A6600 APS-C camera
11-20mm f2.8 (APS-C) 16.5-30mm FF
18-135mm f3.5-5.6 (APS-C) 27-202.5mm FF
70-300mm f4.5-6.3 (APS-C) 105-450mm FF
35mm f1.7 (APS-C) 52.5mm FF
For bad weather days (all weather sealed) and in-town excursions. My tiny, light and fast rainy day choice
OM-D E-M5 mark ii (MFT) camera
12-45mm f/4 (MFT) 24-90mm FF
20mm f/1.4 (MFT) 40mm FF
Would love any feedback before I go. I have tons of other gear so any suggestions can probably be accommodated with gear I have on hand. Thanks in advance.
