Hi All

I am looking to get a new head for my redsnapper tripod. The main reason for this is that I want the ability to tilt my camera on its side so that I can take portrait shots, there isn't enough room for this with my existing head.

I would be very grateful for some suggestions on what options are out there.

Thanks

Which head have you got? I have the 3 way and the ball head and can rotate both of them to portrait.

The night photos in my sig are using the 3 way head in both landscape and portrait modes.

Manfrotto MG 460....

amazon link

Light, folds small, stable, easily adjustable in all 3 planes... no stupid long handles...

Still fits in the redsnapper bag when fitted....

Love mine

I have it fitted to my 283c without a problem.

It adjusts in all 3 directions independently so that you can adjust in any one direction without affecting the others....

It will also allow you to do the same in portrait or landscape mode...

it is also very light as it is magnesium....

If you put the QR plate on your camera along the body rather than across it and set the head as below you should be ok.
