Alternative to Backpack(Vest or Belt)

After something a little bit better and lighter to carry some kit about rather than carrying a complete bag full every time i go out.

Would like to be able to carry a 70-200 f2.8 - 24-70 f2.8 and 2x and 1.4x Tc and a couple of flashes.

Have looked at Vests from the basic Domke to the extreme Manfrotto and also the various harness systems that are now available but still would like to know if anyone has used the Manfrotto Vest and if the capacity is any good for the rather silly amount that you pay for it.

The lowerpro harness system looks like a good idea but after seeing someone wearing one the other day it does look rather bulky for wearing round a track for a weekend.

The price of the Manfrotto is the only thing that i dont like about it to be honest but then if it will last a lifetime and accomodate what i need then it starts to look more reasonable.

I've got the Domke vest and also the Think Tank belt system.

The vest is ideal if you only want to take a few bits, accessories, filters etc and doesn't make you any bulkier.

The belt system is great, quick to use, ideal for carrying the kit you want to carry, the only thing I would say is if you plan on hanging a body and lens combo off it (I have a Kata H16 holster for a spare body and lens) then get the harness as otherwise it pulls down too much. I used this kit at Le Mans this year and it was superb, even around the grandstands where it gets really busy during the day.

Depends on your 'look' really, i'm considering a 'Shootsac', it's a casual overshoulder type bag which could be used at far more occasions that just at the track
