Opening Ceremonies Gigapan
Photographer David Bergman created this Gigapan during the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic Games at Olympic Park in London, UK on July 27, 2012. He made the composite photo by shooting 425 individual photos in a grid pattern (25 across by 17 down) during a one-hour time period as the athletes entered the stadium. The final high-resolution image is 81,992 X 37,520 -- more than three billion pixels.

I bet there's an awful lot of ghosts in that. Lots of movement and gigapixels always leave a few half bodies standing around :p

To be honest these Gigapan shots are becoming rather common now, and not that amazing anymore. The tag yourself is new.
