I went through an old magazine pull out section where 512Mb CF card was £126, and now you can get 256GB cards for under £100. Given inflation I suspect the price of each Gb is 0,1% of what it was 20 years ago.

Fuji Velvia was £3.99 a roll.

(and Colin Waite hadn't gone grey yet!)

I went through an old magazine pull out section where 512Mb CF card was £126, and now you can get 256GB cards for under £100. Given inflation I suspect the price of each Gb is 0,1% of what it was 20 years ago.

Fuji Velvia was £3.99 a roll.

In 1984 I paid £4 a Kb for 16Kb of addituional memory for my BBC Micro, and my 1985 40K Single Sided floppy disc drive cost £160 !!!! This is Kb not Mb or even Gb !!!

The Sandisk card has been ~£25 for a while now. That Lexar card is UHS II and faster for a very similar cost.
