Amazon Exchange/Refund

Bought a 50 1.4 about 3 weeks ago and the AF is so noisy like a train coming!

It was originally bought from Amazon in July 2010 and i have the dispatch note here with me for it etc etc

As its under 12 months can i return it for exchange even though it wasnt me who bought it originally?

there is a return a gift option on the returns page, youll need the original order reference though.

I was gonna return the f1.8 as I wasn't happy with the focus with aperture wide open. I never did return it as I recall I had to call the Canon support line. It wasn't an automatic Amazon return to coin a phrase. I've returned a few other things in the past and their returns service is unsurpassed IMO.
