For a single D60 battery

Amazon.co.uk Marketplace Order Summary
Items: £12.94
Postage & Packing: £7.70
Promotion Applied: -£0.00

Total: £20.64 :eek::eek::eek:

What planet are they on?

That is Amazon marketplace, maybe you should direct your concerns to the vendor rather than amazon?

Meh bothered, just found the same thing on ebay £8.99 free P&P so went with that

Well it was more an eye opener for people who buy lots of stuff on there, and maybe dont notice how much they add on for P&P

And the orginal Nikon ones are £40+pp. So the Amazon price is still a 50% saving!! Personally i don't mind paying the amazon prices as i loathe using ebay.

I once bought 4 Memory cards costing £4.00 each, from a 3rd-party vendor, thinking they'd put them in the same envelope - they did, but still charged me £4.00 per card P&P...even though the stamps totalled £0.95

Are you suggesting that "people who buy lots of stuff on there" wouldn't notice the difference between £12.94 and £20.64? :thinking:

:lol:

You can get third party Nikon batteries for very cheap on websites like mymemory and memorybits. I would rather buy the official one though.

Don't Amazon fix their P&P fees for the Marketplace suppliers, so everything in the same category will have the same P&P fees.

Yep they do. Postage price has nothing to do with the seller, it's all Amazon stating the postage prices, i'm guessing so people can't get fleeced (and Amazon make their money), however it can go the other way occasionally.
