An Early Christmas present to myself

Hi all,

As some of you may remember, I posted up a while ago regarding my Sigma 24-70. After sending it away to sigma I still was not happy and over the past week or so I have found that I was throwing away FAR too many shots because of it, Well today I could not stand to look at it for another minute. As I am in the middle of setting up my photography company, I was not happy with passing off images that I KNEW could be better.

A quick phone call to my not so local camera shop and after a few minutes of debating and quoting numerous sections of the sale of good act I finally convinced them to give me my money back. however, I could not leave with a replacement.

I am now the very pleased owner of a Canon 24-70 f/2.8L

I have not long got home and only taken a quick test shot but my god what a difference, I don't think you can understand how pleased I am and how much of a difference I saw after taking the first shot with it

Will try and get a few shots up over the next few days

Nice!! Im getting one of the canon 24-70's myself in april, along with a 5d Mk II + 70-200mm f4 L + 3 x 580 EX II speedlites, im ridiculously excited!! Cant wait. Would be interested to see some shots from yours though

Stunning combination, you'll get some great images with that lot. I have the 2.8 version of the 70-200, but that and the 24-70 are my most used lenses on the 5DII.

you will not be disappointed Si, Im looking at getting the 5DII to go with my 7D once they have release the 5D III later this year all being well.

My Sigma 10-20 is a fantastic lens and would still consider them again for others, I was shocked to see just how bad my 24-70 was considering how good my 10-20 is.
