... which might come in use for landscape photographers. I wasn't quite sure which forum to stick this in so if it's in the wrong one I do aplogize. Even when not used for landscape purposes, it's a very interesting bit of soft.

OK zoom out, and then click anywhere on the map that is relevent to your area of interest.
Then below the map you can set your viewpoint using the 8 point compass direction by either selecting the compass point or by clicking and dragging the centre bar.
You can further refine your scope/angle of view by clicking and dragging the side bars.
Wait for the Preview box to load image and then click on "Show The Panorama" and your pano view will load.
It gets interesting when you click on the "Telescope 10x" and the red magnifying glass will appear, click on the bottom right handle and your 10x pano will load.
It's by doing this that you can do things like see the Irish coast from a mountain top near the Black Mountain in mid Wales.
