An ISO question.

And it may be a silly one...my nikon f75 only lets me shoot at box speed. As I've been experimenting recently with pushing film, I've not been able to use it. Which is a shame as I love it. My question is, if I were to buy some of those DX labels for bulk roll film and carefully stick them on my rolls of hp5 before I load them this will work won't it?

Told you it was a silly question.

It should do or you could just use exposure compensation, I assume the F75 has that option.

(Edit) Just checked the manual on Buktus and you have +/- 3EV either way.

I have used labels for bulk film on my F55 and they work fine. You could also try just manually setting readings for the iso you want to shoot using a meter and the M setting

I've got a couple of charity shop point and shoots which don't let you override the film speed. Being a natural born cheapskate I make my own DX labels using self adhesive copper shielding tape like this (no connection to seller, lots of other sellers on ebay)

Here's some of the tape and a reloadable cassette set to 400 ASA next to a standard Tri-X.

Just put the copper on first and blank out the other bits with insulating tape. You can make any speed you want, look up the patterns here:

The tape's only just over a pound per metre.
