Tonight the Kingfishers had a fishing contest.

1. Was it worth it.

2. Impaled throught the middle.

3. To big to fit in.

4. Lets try this one the other way round.

And the winner is?

All taken in dappled shade.

My god it amazes me how they get these fish down, for me I like the last one think there is more detail in the feathers

Kaz, more amazing is the fact I think they are actually feeding these fish to the chicks. They must be ready to fledge soon.
I was only really in the are to watch the birds tonight. Conditions were difficult hence the poor detail in all shots.
