Android Apps

.. don't know where to post this.

I've had this Tablet/Pad for about a year now, little used and I'm not really up to speed with the whole App concept and have not downloaded any.

Something got me thinking about how this device might help with photographic lighting and and maybe more.

Been googling and found Apps like: LightBox, Softbox, Pocket Softbox, and more

All thoughs/recommendations welcome.

Is it an app to show you how to light say a model?

Hi Adam,

I'm interested to learn about any android apps that may assist photographers who don't have their own studio lighting. Or in any other way ... for instance, there's one that turns an iPhone into a light-meter.

I tried a couple of Android light meter apps. Turns out the Samsung S3 Mini I bought largely with that in mind... does not provide the information the apps need. But others have reported reasonable results. I would guess the iPhone ones are likely better, as they operate off a more consistent set of hardware. Anyway, you have what you have, so splurge a couple of quid and try some!

I have now download the above-mentioned Pocket Softbox, which is free. The screen of my device emits a bright but soft, defused light ... it might one day come in handy. I think you're right: iPhone apps are likely better.
