Android to PC?

I've recently discovered a thing called DLNA and I am trying to get my Android phone (HTC Desire HD) to stream media to a PC (Windows XP). Does anyone know if this is possible without having to buy any additional hardware?

I've tried Twonky and TVMobili but only managed to get PC media streaming to the Desire. I want it the other way round so that I can stream from the Desire to the PC which will be connected to a Panasonic plasma.

Not with Windows XP on its own.

The Windows Media Player in Vista allowed you to share or play music with other upnp or dlna devices.

Why stream from the desire? what android app are you using? skifta?

Twonky Player on the PC should work, it depends on the app on the phone

Thanks Dale. The only reason I wanted to stream from the Desire was so that I could view pictures and videos (and maybe music and youtube) on my TV when at home. If the TV was wifi enabled (which it's not) then this would have been possible. Hence the use of a netbook running XP connected to the TV via HDMI and then get the Desire to talk to the PC....

But maybe I'm doing this the wrong way round....I've got a partial solution in that I've got Dropbox installed on the phone and PC so that enables wireless sharing of the media files. I've then got Unified Remote on the phone which allows me to wirelessly control the PC and thus view stuff on the TV. A compromise but it seems to work.
