Heading to Anglesey in October for 3 nights - never been before so would be grateful if someone more familiar could suggest some good locations for photography and walking etc

Hoping to stay near Beamauris,

Thanks

Thanks - got that for Devon and Cornwall and they are very good :)

The walk to Llandwyn island is well worth it, especially for the sunset or Astro stuff.

Beaumaris is only about 10 mins from Penmon point which is very good for sunrise capturing the lighthouse.

South stack, as Chris mentioned, is another place well worth a visit.

Cwyfan church is always interesting.

I tend to favour the west side of the island for places like Newborough forest for walks and wildlife stuff. Rhoscolyn for cliff views of stacks and seabirds and Rhosneigr for the many small islands and beautiful beaches.

Always nice to visit the end of the runway at RAF valley If you are there on a week day as the Hawks are quite often training and you can get really up close and personal with them there.

3 nights? You'll never fit it all in... and this may be a little late but for future...

Where were the ship wrecks in the muddy estuary on the northern side? Dulas Beach?
Red Wharfe Bay is worth a visit

Rhosneigr is next to valley, has a restaurant - the oyster catcher, that trains the local youth. Good food, good cause. Not a bad beach either for the rocks and waves.
Breakwater country park has some good views, as does the Penrhos country park.

How are you getting there - where are you coming from? If possible, take the A5 from Wrexham, through Betws-y-coed...
