I might get a chance to do some stuff like this, what camera settings did you use? Any other advice?

Most were shot with the 300mm and 2 x converter fitted. shutter priority on some aperture priority on others.
I always try to work my way around the base to try and get something different. It gets a bit boring with just take off and landings.
You never know what's going to turn up either. Patience helps.

It had been out for a while, but radio'd saying it had problems. Came back and had a chute landing:

We did a few tech jobs over on 29sqn that afternoon, although I don't recall any of them being on BP. Hopefully nothing serious then!

I shot through the fence Graham at the end of runway 25. But if some kind person wanted to offer me the chance to shoot from inside, it would be rude to refuse! One day maybe...
