I am stuck with my choice for a camera. What one shall I buy? Something about me: I have been into photography for many years but nothing serious. I have used SLR and digital compacts. What I really need is a camera that does it all without any loss of quality. I am into snow sports and scuba diving plus I love travelling so need a quality machine which wil not let me down even in the extreme cold. I would never put a camera in the water even if it is supposed to be waterproof as I know too well what saltwater does to everything.
So I have narrowed down my search to the following:
Panay TZ7
Ricoh CX2
Leica D Lux 4/ Pana LX3
Panay FT1
I like the idea of HD movies but also want to attempt to take more pro looking pictures so some manual controls would be great. The Ft1 would be good in the mountains but would the others suffer in such conditions? Any other models worth looking at?
