Another noob lens question.

IVe been looking at a sony dslr as they are a little more in my price range. Now I know this is a cheap Chinese lens but is it that same as an 18-55 lens that I'd get on a canon?

That first lens is not a lens in itself, but a supplementary lens that is put on the filter thread in front of a lens. It's not even made by sony, ebay sellers just list items with various different camera models to attract more attention from searches.

No I know it's a cheap make I was just unsure as to the use of the cheaper one as it looked different. Thanks for the replies though
