Another robin...

OK, it's my first of the winter so I'm allowed one, right?

Snapped this morning at the local NR using the Sony 500mm reflex. Nice and light and quite sharp, but it's a tricky lens to use. I snapped another just a little further back and the robin was still sharp but the BG was awful.

@new2me Yes, doing so traps air as an insulating layer between the feathers and helps keep them warm.

I can't remember exactly how close I was, maybe fifteen or twenty feet. It's cropped to about 35% of the original area.
