Yes it is my most versatile bird lens. Really good from 150mm to 480mm. I go up to 40 or 50 ft with larger birds (thrushes to buzzards), but stick to around 15ft or less for small birds.

Hya Glen, not a big crop, just a bit off to balance the composition a bit. Ideally i'd have liked a bit more space around the subject. The bottom was 'as seen here'.
