Another Gormley statue from Crosby Beach earlier in the year. This one was covered in barnacles and seaweed. I had to hide the sun behind the statue as it was too bright.

Yes I can see it now, beautiful shot. I like how you've back-lit the Gormley and the reflected sunset is stunning. Good job!

You taking these with your D80 and 18-200?
 
Are you going to try any ice / frosty / wintery type shots?

Saying that, I bet you've spent some mornings and evenings freezing getting these!
 
Hi Lee. That one was the D200 & 17-55.

Most of the others have been taken with the D80 & 18-200.

It's finding the time at the minute. I was at the beach sunday morning very early. Just me and the 100 iron men. Can be a bit surreal at times. It is pretty incredible when you are there very early and the tide is going out. All these figures start emerging from the sea. I find it really peaceful but my girlfriend finds it a little disturbing.

Having never been I assumed they were all partially submerged - not completely.

That's one place we *wont* be taking the boat then!
