Another what camera thread, GM1 compared A5000/A5100

Carrying on from my old thread for advice on the LUMIX GM1 I'm looking for insight into how a Sony would compare. Initially we were thinking about the A5000 but as the A5100 is available for not much more it is also on the list.

Has anyone used both a GM1 and one of the Sonys? Or anyone got any opinions on the improvements in the A5100 over the A5000?

Most use will be documenting a project with a fair bit of low light use and people photos. Some of the images might need extreme enlargement for publicity photos. It will probably also only get used with the kit lens, no other lenses are being budgeted for.

Even though I have no personal experience of any of them, I'm leaning towards the A5100, am I being sensible?

i think the a5000 or 5100 is a cut down version of the a6000, which is a very good little camera

Just bought my wife a white a5000 from Amazon for £239.00 including the 16-50 power zoom kit lens. It's a great camera, but having owned the NEX 6, I did find the build quality of the a5000 lacking significantly. Very plastic.
