So I have replaced my Canon ip8750 printer head (new not recon) and want to know the best way to look after it. I have use to switch it off after every time I printed to try and save on it doing cleaning cycles after it already done one. should I just leave it switch on now and let it do a clean when it wants too. I thought you had to be more careful with pigment ink printer heads and not worry so much about dye printers. I have had the printer 8 years but it done me fine for the home printing and family and done 1100 prints & docuements. I have purchased a Epson et 8850 to use as well but still like to canon printer for thicker paper.
