Any Agiflex owners here ?

I recently picked up an excellent copy of a British 1950s camera, the Agiflex wih an 80mm lens. This copy looks like it does NOT have interchangeable lens ability - not sure but no obvious way to unlock the lens.

More of a problem is that the 120 film winds with the winder but does not cock the shutter. It looks simple enough from the outside, just a few screws.
Inside - well i have never seen two huge Whitworth nuts inside a camera before, but this company built cameras from bare metal so it may have a quirky mechanical design.

So before I try opening it. Does anyone out there have any info or experience in the Agiflex mechanics. See pictures I took today to show what the beast looks like http://www.videocentricity.com//agiflex/

Welcome to the MADHOUSE "Highdetail".

What a great old camera. Never used one I'm afraid, but its not uncommon for these oldies to have separate film wind-on and shutter cocking arraignments. Whats the knurled knob in the centre underneath for? Wouldn't go taking it apart till you know a bit more. Oh and I don't see nuthin wrong with havin big nuts! Even Whitworth's........

I suggest you re post on the specialist film section - "Talk Film & Conventional". Their a very friendly and helpful lot there.

Not used an agiflex, but I had an agifold with the 80mm lens and it was lovely. Contrasty and sharp!
