Any body have real life experience of Canon "DO" lens?

For its size I am thinking of buying this lens (new or s/h) - Canon EF 70 - 300mm f4.5-5.6 DO IS USM. Found reviews here - anybody had real-life use of it please?

I used one a friend of mine has. The quality is not much better than the regular 70-300mm IS but it is small and light, if this is what you are looking for in a lens.
