I love it, to my surprise, and was wondering if the new one Ill Manors, can possibly live up to its predecessor?

Cheers

 I do like Plan B. Wasn't too impressed with him at the Stone Roses gig though. I was really looking forward to seeing him but was disappointed

Not listened to the Ill Manors album yet though. I must do it soon, keep meaning to

ill manors is absolutely class! More hardcore than previous stuff he's done, but full of grit and set the tone of the album perfectly.

he tells the story of the movie (which i haven't seen) basically of a kid that was brought up amongst drug dealers and pimps and eventually became one himself. A chunk of the tracks on the album are 'soundtracks' though and are just 2 minutes each of what i would call background music... waste of time... but the actually songs on there are right up my street. i doubt you'll be disappointed

I didn't think you liked Plan B

More gritty than Paint it Blacker and Who Needs Action When You've Got Words? There were some dark themes and lyrics in those! Was a big fan of those two albums but not so keen on his previous album. Should probably give I'll manors a listen to see if he's got better again!

If you have watched the film (Ill Manors) then you need to buy the album, it is basically the whole score for the entire film

And not standing in a mud patch lol

Even at my advanced age I really like Plan B as a performer. We went to see him at the Itunes festival recently and it was an excellent gig.
I was the oldest person there by a country mile, the youngsters looked at me as if I stumbled in there from the old folks home!

Didnt realise it was a film tie in. I'll probably give it a miss then. Cheers all.

I've joined the 50+ PlanB fan club, not seem to have seen any other members in the clubhouse yet though

It's not a tie-in, Plan B (Ben Drew) wrote the story, the music and Directed the film.

Was a nice surprise to see John Cooper Clarke in it.....been a fan of his for ages!!
