Any Dell U2515H Owners?

Hi folks,

After favourable reviews here, I recently bought the Dell U2515H monitor and it's all set up fine. Apart from the screen position. As you can see, I need to adjust the horizontal position left a bit and the vertical position down.

All the other monitors I've owned have had a means to move the image on the screen, but this one doesn't.

It's connected via mDP. I've tried searching the internet, but search terms are tricky as all I get are instructions about how to rotate the monitor, & change the resolution etc. There are no options to adjust the horizontal/vertical position under the display settings in the menu. I read one article that said it could only be changed if you have a VGA input but this monitor only has DP, mDP and HDMI... I've tied a DVI - HDMI adapter and that didn't work. NVIDIA graphics card. Updated drivers on monitor and GPU.

Any ideas anyone?

(Apologies if this is in the wrong section, but I think this is a simple case of using the right cable. Hopefully someone that does have the option to adjust the position can let me know how theirs is cabled up....)

I have the 27 inch version and it looks exactly like yours. All the reviews and comments I have seen suggest that while the plastic bezel is only 1mm thick there is a 6.9mm screen gap which appears to be what you have, so I don't believe you can get the picture right up to the 1mm bezel. Is it the same the other side? If it is, then you are already central. I could be wrong, but I haven't come across any way to do what I think you are suggesting.

I have bought the exact same monitor a week ago. Mine is the same and it's fine like this. At the top, right and left there is 6mm of black. At the bottom there is 2mm of black. But it look like it's "by design" not by fault. Didn't thought about trying to adjust but i think you're right there no way of adjusting the position.

Just had a look at the specs on the Dell site and it gives this as the screen size:

Active Display Area (H x V):
552.96mm (21.77") x 311.04mm (12.25")

I would measure yours accurately and see if that is what you have - if it is then you won't get closer to the edge.

I'm getting so old. One pair of glasses for distance, one pair for middle distance and one for reading. I feel like my knackered old 50mm f 1,8.

So thankyou both Brian & Thomas. There is indeed a gap all the way round. That strip down the left hand side is so visible though. I can't see it on the right without getting right up close!

I guess we all have days like that.
