Any engineers on the site?

I'm trying to find a way to fasten a monopod to a shelf in a bird hide, hopefully to make a better, more stable support than a normal hide clamp. Tripods often take up quite a bit of space.

Just wondering if there are any "engineers" on the site who may be able to design and machine something up. The extra stabilty with the monopod's foot on the floor should give better stability when supporting a long lens.

If you could give me some measurements for the monopod I'd happily design something for you. I couldn't help with the actual making, but a local fabricator should be able to help you.

With the potential for vibration in hides I would have thought a bean bag was the best solution.
