Any FF users have a Tamron 28-300?

I'm on the hunt for something fairly inexpensive that I can stick on my D600 when I am taking it out for family days out etc.

Having a look around and the obvious choices are either the Tamron 28-300 or the rather more expensive Nikon version.

The Tamron appeals because it's fairly cheap, esp used but I am worried in case the optics are rubbish. Does anyone have any experience?

No experience, but DXO seem to think the Tammie is OK other than the high CA:
